St.Pete's Beach

The timing of this trip couldn't have been more perfect. Everything seemed to be so hectic and stressful all at the same time, I was so ready to get out of dodge and escape for a bit! As much as I love the city, there is nothing more beautiful or peaceful to me than being by the ocean. So I'm very thankful I was able to spend an amazing extended weekend with the people closest to me! We stayed in the St.Petersburg area, Indian Rocks to be more specific, and we ventured into Clearwater a little bit too which is always a lot of fun! We've been going to this part of Florida every year for the past 10 years so it's nice to go back to a familiar area, visit some of our favorite restaurants and just enjoy ourselves!

The suit I'm wearing in these photos is a Kenneth Cole Reaction one piece that I found on sale at Marshall's! Honestly you can't go wrong purchasing a $100 swimsuit for only $25!!! I love the lace eyelet look to let a little skin show through but I also love the bright coral color to top off a nice tan (: The cute little elephant wrap was another cheap find at Windsor, it has become my ultimate favorite beach/pool/everything wrap. Very light and easy to throw on!

I wouldn't consider the area we went to as a prime place to get some shopping in. Lots of beach and souvenir stores like Ron Jon and Surf Style, but if you ever travel to St.Petersburg check out John's Pass! It's a whole strip of cute little stores and restaurants, perfect for gifts and goodies to take home! Unfortunately we didn't have time to make it there this year, but it's worth checking out if you get the chance. It was really hard getting back into the swing of things in Ohio. Between schoolwork and a new job I knew I was coming back to a lot of work. But the classes I'm taking are so much fun and have exposed me to so much in the fashion world and it's only been a few weeks into the program. So I'm very excited to be able to expand my blog the more I get into my studies and just have fun! I think I've finally come to the acceptance that it's actually Fall sooo I'll probably work on an Autumn themed post next! Stay tuned (;
