Ok so I'm having a difficult time adjusting to the whole Fall thing. As much as I love the atmosphere of Autumn, I hate the cold so I'm really trying to make the best of it seeing that it's only going downhill from here! I visited a park that I'm sure many people who live or grew up around me will very easily recognize called Whipps Ledges in Hinkley. It's really gorgeous every season of the year but in the Fall it's nice to see all the different colors with the huge rocks and caves! I must say though I got quite the workout hiking around everywhere in heels, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it!
I have to talk about these boots because they may be my favorite item of footwear I own. I purchased them at Windsor almost two years ago now so they are a little old but are still so chic and classy looking to me. Being really short it's hard for me to find high boots that I don't drown or look funny in and these are the perfect height! Not to mention I love that there is no platform on the boot, they are just flat with a heel so my foot feels really arched but it's super easy to walk in since I'm not balancing. Since these boots are a little older I can't find them on the website anymore but you can find a similar pair of Steve Madden boots at Lorde + Taylor or Jessica Simpson boots at Heels.com if you are interested! I'll put the link at the bottom in case you'd like to check it out!
As you can probably tell from my Instagram I'm a sucker for high waisted skater skirts because I love how they give me more shape. I have an unnecessary amount of black skater skirts in different styles...but really it's okay because I found all of them for a really good deal. I really love this one because of the net stripes that make the skirt a little sexy but not totally short and revealing. Another deal from Marshall's I found for under $20! Honestly if you are looking for some quick affordable purchases to update your closet, you can almost always find something at Marshalls or TJ Maxx. The knit crop top I found there as well for super cheap.
I also learned in class recently that the established "in" color of the year 2015 is Marsala, which is basically a wine/burgundy/brownish-red color, so I thought that would be perfect to feature in my Autumn post as well!
It's crazy to think it's almost 2016, this year seems to be flying. I hope everyone enjoys all the fun fall festivities! This evening I'm headed to an apple orchard with some friends to walk through corn mazes, ride hay rides and all that good stuff! Don't forget to check out the links below in case your in the market for some fancy fall boots (:
